miss me?
Wow. It's been a long time. Sorry to all you dedicated readers out there. Finals were a bitch, but I pulled through all right. I can hardly believe first semester is over. Crazy. So, a recap of things that have happened since I last updated:1. Saw Narnia. It rocked hardcore.
2. Went to the midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show (that was actually before my last post but I think I forgot to mention it. Whatever). That was amazing. Really, definitely something everyone must experience at least once.
3. Had sledding adventures when it iced/snowed/sleeted/slushed the week before finals. Put my knee through a rubbermaid storage container. Pretty funny.
4. Brought my roommates home for dinner the weekend before the snow and Chloe and I totally beat my parents at Cranium (Shannon had to sit out and study:( )
5. Visited Tyler, Pinson, Salyer, and Eyer on Monday. It was hardcore awesome. I miss them but not as much as I miss Mrs. Eyer. tear.
6. Spent like 6-7 hours cleaning (crap builds up when you're not there everyday to notice) and organizing (ummm my clothes have spawned since I left and no longer fit anywhere) my room today. It sucked hardcore. But now its done at least.
7. Have become addicted to Lost. It's ridic.
8. Finished all my Christmas shopping (and birthday shopping for those coming up as well) early and was happy about that.
9. Am excited for my birthday pary tomorrow night. First time I've had a birthday party since 4th grade (9 birthdays ago...weird. I'm ooooolddd).
10. I'm super going to miss Chloe and Shannon. Maybe even more than Mrs. Eyer.
11. I found my satire in my room. I read some of it. It seems like a lifetime ago that we had to write those.
12. I also found my government test reviews. I couldn't even look at them, I just had to throw them out and move on to keep from crying. Wow. I don't know why. She was just...one of those really special people you only meet once in your life, you know? Like...there will never be another Mrs. Eyer. There isn't. She's too unique and brilliant and I don't even know. I mean, how many teachers can pull off bright metallic blue stilettos? (sp?)
13. I want to read some books over break. My brain is getting mushy.
14. OMG I am SO excited for my English classes this semester especially the American Dream one. The history I'm interested in but not quite as excited for because I haven't been History deprived for the past 7 months.
15. I still have that bracelet on from the Fat Maggi concert in England July 1. Weird.
16. I am excited for Canada. and LD's New Year's party. wheeee fireworks!
17. ooooh went bowling last night with Dave, Sarah, and Matt and then played Trivial Pursuit. Sarah and I dominated both hardcore. splendid.
OK. I think I shall try and read a bit and then sleeeeep.
It doesn't feel like Christmas. It feels like...winter. But not Christmas...like...a cold version of summer vacation. odd for sure.

Yes, I've missed you a lot. Agreed about Mrs. Eyer. I miss her too. I wish she was still at Carroll so we could at least go say hi. Um...there was too much else in your post to talk about, as I have a headache courtesy of attempting to Christmas shop at the mall. Damn commercialism.
Merry Christmas and happy early birthday...I shall see you tonight.
Mrs. Eyer...so many good teachers left...eyer, cotten, waldo, mccombs...man. Parting is such sweet sorrow...
you who hate literature quoting shakespeare? i love it. and thanks pam. last night was fabulous.
I don't "hate" literature, I actually enjoy reading many work which English scholars deem "classics" (although I do find Shakespeare a bit dry, mainly b/c I don't want to put the time in to understand it). I just feel like I can learn from and get equal experience and value from other things than analyzing literature, and don't feel like I should be forced to do so. With that said...I "hate" literature analysis...
How'd the party go?
it was good; we all had a grand time. hard to say which was better: lauren knowing sports questions in trivial pursuit because she was related to the people in the question or every single minute of the movie dazed and confused. goooooooooood times.
