ridiculous

Jane Austen novels are simply fabulous. Well, Pride and Prejudice is simply fabulous. I have yet to read any others, but hopefully they will be as delightful and ridiculous as this one.

I have rather large amounts of reading to attend to on a variety of subjects, mainly of the historical and englishal nature.

I got new shoes yesterday. The box says they are "trucker tribal brown trucker flannel." Despite this odious description, I think they are lovely.

I need some new Birki knockoffs because I cannot afford $80 sandahls and my old ones are falling apart. Also, they smell weird.

We are searching, probably in vain, for a ten foot poster to grace our wall. I will be very excited if we find one. Hopefully it will be of something neat.

Tomorrow is my roomie's birthday! Very exciting. Hopefully we are going out downtown and doing something ridiculous and fun. As is our custom.

This morning Thomas and I went to what he said was a flute concert but was really a flute masterclass! Evil Thomas!! But we had fun. I just read Pride and Prejudice the entire time and he was studious and took notes on music and stuff. And we saw Christine! Overall, a very enjorable experience.

I have decided that having a record player and a Super Nintendo in my room makes me one of the coolest people ever. Some may think this claim vain and ridiuculous, but that does not mean it is any less truthful.

Tonight, perhaps Alex and I shall go to Panther City or Central Market to be hip and listen to live music while drinking coffee, or Jones Soda, depending.

Favorite TCU idiot girl outfit of the week:
flip flops, cheer style shorts, sorority shirt (usually pink), full make-up, hair straightened and then either a) down or b) put up into a dumb, sloppy looking ponytail to give that "I just got out of bed" look, but really took an hour to do, and wearing pearl earrings and a pearl necklace. Seriously. That is just tacky.

This weekend I shall spend trying to get ahead on my reading for class (so that next week I will be able to start my research papers and not, um die), watching some movies, Grey's Anatomy repeats on Sunday night, brunch with Kate on Sunday day, celebtrating Sarah my roommate being 19, and generally being awesome.

I am super glad to be back at school. Lovely.

Pride and Prejudice is my favorite of Jane Austen's. I've also read Emma and Sense and Sensibility; I can't tell which I liked better, because Emma was so-so and Sense and Sensibility took me some time to get into. But it sounds like a kickass course and I'm excited for you. =)

As for the weird TCU girl look.......that look is everywhere here, minus the pearls. That's just weird.
